This file shows promising search areas for wind energy. Wind energy is electrical energy generated by wind turbines. The responsibility for making planning space for wind turbines lies with the municipalities. The province sets the framework for location selection and design. For all wind energy initiatives, location selection and design must be appropriate to the area characteristics. Based on the provincial interest, the province is implementing the organisation of support for the energy transition. The municipality is the competent authority for the planning assessment on the basis of concrete projects. On request, the province can be asked for advice. In the case of provincial integration plans, the province has a responsibility to involve residents and users in the development of the plans.
