Description
**Definition**: Homogeneous part of the track for all the attributes that concern it.
**Selection**: The following railway sections are selected:
- all LGV tracks on their own site,
- all main tracks (continuity of which will be ensured in marshalling yards), operated or not,
- all service lanes, operated or not, from 300 m in length,
- special branch lines, industrial or service roads from 300 m in length,
- urban railways connected by rail to the national network, of the type RER, whatever their length,
- funicular railways at least 100 metres long,
- rack trains at least 100 metres long,
- tourist lines,
- rail bikes, from 1 km long,
- overhead metro lines and tram lines,
- railways under construction.
**The following are excluded**:
- decommissioned railways (rails removed from the ground),
- sorting and garage tracks, generalized in Nature Transport Equipment="sorting area",
- railway lines within amusement parks.

ID: Identifier
NATURE: Attribute distinguishing several types of railway (Possible values: Funicular or rack | LGV | Metro | Not applicable | Tramway | Service lane | Main railway)
POS_SOL: Position in relation to the ground: Level of the object in relation to the ground surface - negative value for an underground object, zero value for an object on the ground and positive value for an object on the ground - (Possible values: -4 | -3 | -2 | -1 | 0 | 1 | 2 | 3 | 4)
STATE: Possible values: In service, not operated
DATE_CREAT: Date and time when the object was first entered into the IGN production database
DATE_MAJ: Date and time the object was last modified in the production database
DATE_APP: Date of creation, construction or appearance of the object, or the earliest date on which its presence on the ground can be attested
DATE_CONF: Most recent date on which the presence of the object in the field can be attested
SOURCE: Sources attesting to the existence of the object, possibly in the context of a partnership: organisation, administration, reference file
ID_SOURCE: Object identifiers in the directories of the organizations consulted for their inventory
PREC_PLANI: Planimetric accuracy (in meters) of the geometry describing the object
PREC_ALTI: Altimeter accuracy (in meters) of the geometry describing the object
ELECTRIFY: Indicates whether the track is electrified or not
WIDTH: Attribute distinguishing railways of standard width for France (1.435 m) from wider or narrower railways (Possible values: Narrow | Large | Normal)
NB_VOIES: Attribute indicating the number of tracks modelled by the railway section (Possible values: 0 | 1 | 2 | 3 | 4)
USE: Specifies the type of transport for which the railway is intended (Possible values: Freight | Not Applicable | Bicycle-Rail | Passenger | Passenger and Freight | Worthless)
MAX SPEEDS: Maximum speed for which the line was built, expressed in km/h
ID_VFN: Links to the named track: If applicable, link to the identifier (absolute key) of the named Track object describing the route and the toponym of the rail route to which this section belongs
TOPONYME: Toponym of the railway from the 'Toponym' field of the complex object Named railway linked to the section
**INFORMATION**: **DATA GAME IS AVAILABLE IN THREE FORMATS (*.XLSX, *.CSV AND *.GPKG). THE NUMBER OF REGISTRATION IS IN THE ORDER OF: 365**
