# Data from the Social Security Fund (CPS) The evolution of the employed labour force can be approximated from the salaried employment declared to the general scheme of salaried employees (RGS) of the CPS. An employee may hold several salaried jobs for the same period. The base of salaried jobs is updated monthly. The deadline for formalizing this data (from 1 to 3 months) depends on the derogations granted by the SPC (Household service activity, employment in remote archipelagos, etc.). The ISPF calculates monthly estimates of wage employment in the commercial sector (industry, construction, commerce, hotels and restaurants and services). Different indicators are calculated from the salaried employment declared in the RGS of the CPS. This information is presented in the form of annual and monthly tables which can be broken down by major sectors of activity, detailed activities, location of employers (archipelagos and communes) and legal forms. They concern staffing, salaries, working hours and employers. # Data from the Employment Survey The survey on employment in French Polynesia is carried out annually during the second quarter in the Société’s archipelago (Tahiti, Moorea, Bora Bora, Raiatea and Tahaa) and every three years in each of the other three archipelagos (Marquises, Austral Islands and Tuamotu-Gambier). The statistical setting of the survey makes it ‘representative’ for all the Society’s islands (excluding atolls) and more distant archipelagos. Judiciously calibrated, the collection is used to infer the results by taking into account the non-questioning of an archipelago over three years, and thus to edit results for the entire statistical field in French Polynesia. Around 97.5% of the working-age population of French Polynesia is thus represented by the survey.
