11st PROGRAMME: TERRITORIAL SOLIDARITE
Description
Different zoning has been defined to guide the implementation of the Agency’s intervention policies in the period 2019-2024 (revision 2021).
Depending on the case, they correspond to:
eligibility criteria, i.e. projects must be located in the defined area in order to be eligible for Agency aid or an increase in the Agency’s aid rate;
priority criteria, i.e. depending on the area in which the projects are located, they are given priority or not to receive assistance from the Agency, in case the cumulative amounts of the different applications exceed the available budget envelope.
Territorial solidarity:
In accordance with national guidelines, it is planned to strengthen the financial support of communities in structural difficulties, because they are located in sparsely populated areas and for which a fair price of water does not meet the investment needs.
The municipalities identified under this territorial solidarity are:
the municipalities included in the Rural Revitalisation Zones (ZRR) designated by the national decree of 22 February 2018;
municipalities with a population “very low to little dense” and whose household standard of living is included in the lower half of the Basin scale.
These criteria correspond to 1,146 municipalities, which can thus benefit from an additional 15 % subsidy rate for works relating to sewage works, sewerage systems and drinking water (eligibility criterion).
