Study of the maritime heritage of ports and port cities in Provence-Alpes-Côte d'Azur 1/2

Description

**In order to implement the guidelines of the Regional Strategy for the Sea and the Coast, the Provence-Alpes-Côte d'Azur Region has carried out an exhaustive inventory of ports and port cities on the scale of the region's coastline.** **This study of the maritime heritage of ports consists of all the functional elements of the port, which are non-movable, non-demountable and permanent, with the aim of enhancing this heritage as a tool for economic development and supporting an understanding of the territory and its past and future changes.** The scope of the study includes all ports located on the coast of the region and of heritage interest, based on a functional approach that includes 9 heritage areas: Defence of port territory / Beliefs of seafarers / Port signs / Coastal protection / Administration of port activity / Land/sea transition equipment / Trade and production related to the sea / Industrial and commercial activities / Health-related establishments The datasets contain * A file in Geojson format represents the **one-off elements**** described during the study conducted on port cities** * A file with the list of architectural elements: Notice\\_Archi\\_base\\_mérimée.csv * A file with the list of furniture items: Notice\\_object\\_Base\\_Palissy.csv **Associated documents:** The datasets are presented in detail in a user manual available as an associated document.
