Employment by municipality - indicator

Description

This dataset lists all information related to employment at the workplace in the Provence Alpes-Côte d'Azur region in 2015. The data are sourced from INSEE, RP exploitation complementary to the workplace and they are extracted from "Our Territory", an interactive statistical mapping tool operated by the Provence Alpes-Côte d'Azur Region. The use_LT.xls dataset includes the following indicators: \- number of farmer-operators at the workplace \- number of craftsmen, shopkeepers, entrepreneurs at the workplace \- number of managers and higher intellectual professions at the workplace \- number of intermediate professions at the workplace \- number of employees at the workplace \- number of workers at the workplace \- number of jobs at the workplace More information: [See INSEE website, Functional analysis of jobs and managers in metropolitan functions] (https://www.insee.fr/en/statistics/1893116). The concept of metropolitan functions is based both on the qualification of employment, defined from the social category, and on the more specific location of functions in large urban areas. The functional analysis of jobs proposes groupings of occupations, defined through the PCS nomenclature, with the aim of revealing 15 major functions, transversal to the sectors of activity. Of these 15 so-called metropolitan functions, 5 are more specifically present in urban areas: design-research, intellectual services, business-to-business trade, management, culture-leisure. The concept of "framework of metropolitan functions" aims to offer a notion close to "strategic" jobs, ensuring consistency with functions. These are jobs in metropolitan functions, including the social category corresponding to managers (CS='3') and that of entrepreneurs with 10 or more employees (CS='23'). **About the indicators** * The meaning, source and vintage of each indicator are detailed in a spreadsheet of the dataset. * The "Data" tab contains the data itself. The data from this tab is available in the preview and by API. * The exhaustive list of indicators available on Our territory is listed in the Indicators_territorial observatory_2017.xls dataset. This dataset includes the code, short label, long label, domain, theme, source and geographic mesh of each indicator. These data can be viewed on the **Our Territory** application, an interactive statistical mapping tool operated by the Provence Alpes-Côte d'Azur Region. It provides the institution’s partners and the general public with a set of resources for knowledge of the territory and makes it possible to obtain figures and personalise its own maps.
