Description

Installations of district heating networks (RCU) in Brittany (deliveries in GWh, weight of consumption sectors and share of energy sources of heat). **Sources:** Annual survey on heating and cooling networks (SDES), Wing (instructions files), Rennes Métropole ("Service Réseaux d'Energies et de Chaleur (SREC)"), Brest Métropole, ODRE registry, Sinoe, Cerema (RCU 2018 survey). **Processing notes:** - The main source for updating heat delivery data is the ERCF, but it only addresses one third of the networks identified by the EPO. - A great deal of research and verification has been undertaken by the EPO to establish as comprehensive a reference system as possible, with the year of commissioning, the users and the detailed characteristics of the networks. - Heat deliveries from networks not listed in the SDES local energy data are estimated on the basis of calculations carried out as part of the processing of heat production data from wood boilers, gas cogeneration, IOMs, and LNG carriers connected to UCRs (see the methodology for processing energy production data in the datavisualisation "Energy production in Brittany" carried out by the EPO. - For the public networks of Rennes Métropole and Brest Métropole, data are transmitted directly to the EPO by the services.
