Description

The assessment of red-listed species consists in estimating the risk of extinction in the short term (10 years) of the territory concerned, Brittany. The method used at the regional level is the one advocated by IUCN. The taxa assessed are those for which the biogeographic information is most complete. The lists will be completed as new knowledge is acquired. **Sources:** The observational data that enabled these evaluations were acquired for the most part by the networks of volunteers organised around naturalist associations such as BV-Sepnb, GMB, Gretia, LPO, VivArmor Nature or CBN Brest, BGM, the departmental federations of fishing or hunting, etc. Evaluation by the regional flora fauna observatories, led by the EPO (2015 - 2019), validated by the CSRPN and certified by IUCN France. **Go further:** consult the attached document "Regional Red List Methods and Biological Liability of Brittany" and the datavisualisation "Evaluation of species on regional red lists in Brittany" carried out by the EPO.
