Since 1 January 2017, the new Federal Agency for Occupational Risks (Fedris) has taken over the tasks of the Occupational Diseases Fund (FBZ) and the Accidents at Work Fund (FAO). The merger will make it easier for citizens to take action in respect of occupational risks.Fedris is concerned, among other things, with:- compensating victims of occupational diseases and, in certain cases, victims of accidents at work- adopting and supporting a number of preventive measures for occupational diseases and accidents at work- monitoring to ensure that insurance companies and employers meet their obligations in the event of accidents at work.
