Geographical contours of legislative constituencies
Description
Contours made from the following datasets:
- [List of polling stations associated with their legislative constituency](https://www.data.gouv.fr/en/datasets/liste-des-bureaux-de-vote-associations-a-leur-circonscription-legislative/) (dataset produced under my responsibility, derived from data from the Ministry of the Interior)
- [Proposal for contours of polling stations](https://www.data.gouv.fr/en/datasets/proposal-de-contours-des-bureaux-de-vote/) (data.gouv.fr, derived from INSEE data)
Methodology: aggregation of the contours of the polling stations composing a constituency, then geographical cleaning and simplification thanks to the free tool [Mapshaper](https://mapshaper.org).
Formats: SHP and GeoJSON (two versions: p20 simplified and p10 very simplified)
NB: INSEE proposes a [simplified file] (https://www.insee.fr/en/statistics/6441661?summary=6436478) which has the merit of being official, if not precise.
