Passenger air transport price indices

The Directorate-General for Civil Aviation (DGAC) compiles monthly passenger air transport price indices (IPTAP) from daily collections of round-trip fare offers on a sample of airlines with significant traffic departing from France. This panel is updated annually.

Monitoring price index and air traffic developments makes it possible to observe the market as a whole.

Presentation of files
The ASP_IPTAP series (csv format) presents monthly IPTAP indices by large geographic beams.

Description of fields

• ANMOIS: year and month (e.g. 201801 for January 2018)
• MET_INTER_MET: Departure Metropolis to domestic destinations Metropolis
• MET_INTER_OM: Departure Metropolis to Outremer
• MET_INTER_TOT: Total Departure Metropolis to all domestic destinations
• MET_INTAL_MC: Departure Metropolis to all destinations at the International Middle-Courier
• MET_INTAL_LC: Departure Metropolis to all destinations at the International Long-Courrier
• MET_INTAL_TOT: Total departure Metropolis to all international destinations
• MET_ENS: Set departure Metropolis to all destinations
• DOM_ENS: Set departure DOM to all destinations
• FRA_ENS: Set departure France (metropolis + DOM) to all destinations

Update
The ASP_IPTAP series is updated monthly. The IPTAP indices for the month M are published after the 15 of the month M+1.
