Pedestrian paths in Paris according to OpenstreetMap
Description
This dataset describes the pedestrian paths in intramural Paris: it includes sidewalks, pedestrian crossings, pedestrian streets, pedestrian squares, etc.
There are also parking spaces reserved for wheelchair users, as well as some entrances to shops and metro stops.
The data comes entirely from [OpenStreetMap](https://www.openstreetmap.org).
**Data creation**
The mapping of Paris’ pedestrian pathways was carried out mainly in summer 2023 by volunteer OpenStreetMap contributors from the Paris region, with technical, human and logistical support from companies [Sonar Vision] (https://www.sonarvision.fr/) and [Jungle Bus] (https://junglebus.io/) and the [Eazyway] project (https://demo.eazyway.org/).
**Data exploitation**
Data are available in exchange format [NeTEx](https://www.netex-cen.eu/), [French accessibility profile](https://normes.transport.data.gouv.fr/normes/netex/accessibilit%C3%A9/).
The conversion from OpenStreetMap was carried out using the technical building blocks of AccesLibre Mobilités, the software suite for mapping the accessibility of pedestrian roads that the Ministry of Transport makes available to local authorities.
This is a demonstration dataset: identifiers are not intended to be permanent and updates will be made on an ad hoc basis.
**Licence**
Like the rest of the OpenStreetMap database, this data is freely usable, including for commercial applications, under the conditions of the ODbL license. This requires in particular the mandatory attribution mention (which must be "© OpenStreetMap contributors"). In some cases, the same sharing is also imposed (More information on the page http://osm.org/copyright).
