Depth of the Middle Jura (Dogger) base in the duck beak
Description
The base of the Middle Jura (Dogger) is preserved in the duck beak only in the central trench and reaches depths between 2000-5 600 m. The largest depth is reached at more than 5 500 m within the John Basin on the border with the Danish North Sea sector. The distribution pattern is predominantly determined by a prominent discordance (base Upper Jura) in the top of the unit.
