Profits of self-employed doctors; age, gender, 2001-2015
Description
This table shows the average profit of self-employed general practitioners, dentists and medical specialists. ‘Self-employed doctor’ means: a BIG-registered doctor working in the healthcare sector who is self-employed and who is also not employed and is not a principal shareholder. The creation of the BIG register is a task resulting from the BIG Act (Act on the Occupations in Individual Health Care). The BIG register provides clarity about the competence of a healthcare provider. The figures are broken down by age and gender.

Status of the figures:
The figures for 2015 are further provisional. As this table has been discontinued, these figures are no longer definitive. Figures from the other years are final.

When are new figures coming?
No longer applicable, this table has been discontinued. More data on doctors’ rewards have been published in new StatLine tables (see paragraph 3).
