JHS 157 Customer Terminals in Public Administration
Description
The purpose of the recommendation is to instruct public administration actors in the procurement of client terminals and related software and services, as well as in the implementation, placement, use, management and maintenance of terminals. The recommendation distinguishes client terminals into two categories: for network terminals and service terminals. The first is mainly intended for the use of the Internet network, e.g. for information retrieval and the latter for more demanding online transactions. Efforts have been made to take utmost account of the special groups, in particular when defining the configuration of the access terminal. The recommendation applies to all public administration organisations that provide client terminals for their customers. (18.8.2011)
