Accesses to railway track cycle paths in Wuppertal
Description
The data series includes the two data sets “Access points to railway track cycle paths in Wuppertal” and “Access routes to railway track cycle paths in Wuppertal”. The 73 access points (as of 12/2020) identify the places where the public road network must be left in order to access the railway track cycle paths. The 46 access routes (as of 12/2020) connect some of the access points to the railway track cycle paths, the other access points are located directly on the railway track cycle paths. Both data sets (access points, access routes) are to be understood as a supplement to the data set “Bike Routes Wuppertal”, in which the complete Wuppertal cycle paths, represented by the central axes of the associated roads and paths, are shown. The datasets were completed for the first time in spring 2015 by digitalisation on the basis of the digital base map DGK and have since been continued with changes to the data in a timely manner. Since the beginning of 2016, the official base card ABK has been used as a digital base. The ESRI shape files, KML and GeoJSON files provided as open data under the CC BY 4.0 license are updated weekly in an automated process.
