976 EAA (CAPS Issue Area)
Description
The EEZs are coherent spaces, complementary to the existing network of protected areas, which present major challenges in terms of biodiversity and geodiversity and other interests (cultual, cultural, landscape, etc.). They are subject to pressures more
or less pronounced which may be likely to disturb or even jeopardise these wealth.
These ZAEs are a T-time vision of the Mahorais heritage. It is not an absolute vision but a decision-making tool to prioritise state intervention in relation to its partners. They are based on the data available in 2017, in a
integrative logic, and are up-to-date as new knowledge is acquired.
