Traffic strengths Hamburg

Description

Traffic censuses are carried out at regular intervals on the territory of Hamburg. The results from these censuses are primarily used for traffic planning and to determine the traffic development in Hamburg. For each year, the average daily vehicle traffic strengths are determined as a measure of the average traffic load of a road section and presented on a map. Using mathematical-statistical methods is distinguished by average values of all days (DTV, Monday to Sunday) and all working days (DTVw, Monday to Friday). The basis for the average values is more than 300 levels (cross-section counts) at which flowing motor traffic is collected by means of permanent counting points (induction loops), infrared sensors (heat imaging cameras) or manual traffic counts (sampled on representative days, at least once a year). In this service, traffic strengths have been published since 2004 (as an Excel table for download), visualised as a table and chart are each for the last 10 years.
