Bird sanctuaries (Natura 2000) around Freiburg i. Br.

Description

The spatial data set contains the spatial scopes of the bird protection areas “Mooswälder bei Freiburg (2 602 ha), Southern Black Forest (327 ha) and Schönberg near Freiburg (69 ha)” in the districts of Freiburg and in the districts of Breisgau-Hochschwarzwald and Emmendingen. The bird sanctuaries or Special Protection Areas (SPA) are part of the Europe-wide network of protected areas NATURA 2000. Bird protected areas are enacted by the Higher Nature Conservation Authority in the Government Presidium (RP), which also collects and maintains the digital spatial data in the environmental information system Baden-Württemberg.
