Counting carried out by an amateur genealogist from the civil registers of Nevers kept at the Departmental Archives of Nièvre and whose deadlines for communication have expired. #### **Content** Each year is divided into categories of acts (birth, marriage, death, sometimes even publication of banns). You will find acts of recognition among births, divorce transcripts among marriages, death transcripts among deaths, etc. A line corresponds to an act or a transcript and is reduced to the type and geographical and temporal indications of the document, the surnames and forenames of the person or persons concerned, and possibly also those of their parents and previous spouses. #### **Procedure** - Dates: indicated correspond to the declaration or transcript, otherwise it is the date of the event; - Marginal entries: are not considered. Thus, a child recognized a posteriori or adopted may appear under another name (that of his mother for example if the father did not make himself known at the birth of the child); - Spelling: surnames and forenames correspond to those on the original documents, except in the case of typing errors; - Former spouses: Only the last (deceased or divorced) are retained. Thus, for example, for Jeanne DUPONT, divorced in the first marriage of Jean DURAND and widow in the second marriage of Louis MARTIN, only Louis MARTIN is retained.
