Description
Together with the Friedrich-Alexander-Universität Erlangen-Nuremberg (FAU) and the Fraunhofer Working Group for Supply Chain Services SCS of the Fraunhofer Institute for Integrated Circuits IIS, VAG has been working on an energetic optimisation of the subway timetable for several years in a joint project. For this purpose, the driving and stopping times of the subway within narrow limits are varied by means of mathematical optimisation methods in such a way that at the end of the total energy consumption as low as possible. So far, numerous data have been collected, measured, structured and evaluated in the project. Since the optimisation of timetables is generally of great interest, we would like to provide an extract of this data for research. In today’s times, energy consumption and its minimisation also play an increasing role. We hope to contribute to solving pressing problems with our high-quality data.
