SCoT of the Pays de Brest: Urbanization cuts
Description
The local planning documents delineate the urbanisation cuts identified in the coastal municipalities by the SCoT. The width and depth of the cuts are symbolised on the ‘Implementation of the Coastal Law’ map, page 54, and specified in Annex 2 to the OAD. Given the dispersion of the buildings of the Pays de Brest, pre-existing buildings can be found in these spaces.
No new urbanisation may be authorised, except:
• light reception facilities and recreational or sporting areas (unequipped parts of natural camping areas, playgrounds, etc.);
• adaptation, refurbishment and limited extension of the buildings needed for professional farming, aquaculture and fishing at sea;
• Renovation and limited extension of other existing buildings.
Local planning documents may, where appropriate, provide, at their scale, for the protection of other natural areas having the character of urbanisation cuts.
