Harmonisation: © IZES gGmbH 2022 \- Territorial level: The map shows the economic potential of photovoltaic integrated on agricultural surfaces in the Greater Region while using bifacial vertical modules. Only prorital areas of more than ≥ 10 ha and maize-free crops are visualized. With current technologies, areas of more than 10 ha are now economically exploitable. Cultivated areas of maize are not suitable due to the height of the plants. According to the applicable legal framework surfaces are highlighted. By clicking on a highlighted surface we receive additional information in relation to the potentially installable capacity and relating to the potential electrical efficiency as well as in relation to the legal framework. These are theoretical deposits based on calculations and assumptions made. Thus, when using the data, it must be taken into account that these data are based on a statistical approach that represents an approximation or an estimate of the deposits. \- In October 2022, the Luxembourg Ministry of Energy and Spatial Planning launched a call for tenders for the promotion of pilot agri-voltaic installations on agricultural land. Photovoltaic projects must make it possible to continue to ensure agricultural production on the land while promoting biodiversity (flora). The projects will be supported by a market premium over a period of 15 years. It should be noted that the prioritised areas and potentials identified on the large-regional maps are based on project-specific assumptions in the context of the "PV follows function" project and do not make it possible to express an opinion on the possibility of obtaining authorisations or on the technical and economic feasibility of a project in the context of the call for tenders organised by the Luxembourg Ministry.
