Management watersheds

Description

As part of the preparation of the 2019 inventory prior to the update of the SDAGE and PDM 2022-2027 of the Adour-Garonne Basin, a new hydrographic partition was created, the management watersheds. They follow the following logic: — a strictly hydrographic perimeter consisting of an entire number of watersheds of water bodies, — a size adapted to existing or future river management structures, — a certain coherence of issues and pressures on the territory The construction of this benchmark was carried out on the basis of the hydrographic perimeters used locally to share on the issues of the territories and agree on the actions to be implemented. The size is variable and adapted to the complexity of the challenges and the pressures involved as well as the diversity of the actors present to respond to them. By definition: a management watershed is a sum of surface water mass basins. A body of water belongs to one and only one management basin. The version ‘edl2029’ was used when preparing the 2019 inventory.
