AEAG - Sensitive Collections
Description
In the Adour-Garonne basin, there are about 5300 drinking water supply catchments.
Of these catchments, about 300 are said to be "degraded", i.e. they use a raw water resource permanently degraded by diffuse pollution (phytosanitary and nitrates).
These "degraded" catchments include:
- the 95 "priority" catchments within the meaning of SDAGE identified in SDAGE 2022-2027 and on which pollution reduction action programmes must be implemented by the end of 2024;
- the other degraded catchments are said to be "sensitive" to the number of 230 identified as of the approval of SDAGE 2022-2027. They must be subject to the establishment of a diffuse pollution reduction programme by 2027 (initiated or established according to the level of degradation).
