Quality Data Archives
The water quality of the main rivers of the Adour-Garonne basin is regularly measured within the framework of networks established since 1971. This measuring device is based on:
• Monitoring checks on chemical and biological status to ensure that rivers are in good condition
• Operational controls to identify pollution preventing the achievement of good status and to monitor the evolution of watercourses following the actions taken
• Monitoring controls to ensure specific monitoring of protected areas such as abstractions for drinking water or bathing
A network of reference stations makes it possible to define the reference conditions for the different types of water bodies that can be considered to be in good ecological status.
Purpose: Disseminating data, improving knowledge of the environment to steer the Agency's actions.
