Various facilities allow the practice of carpooling on the Métropole de Lyon.
Carpooling areas are car parks entirely dedicated to the practice of carpooling, which allow some drivers to leave their car for the day in order to share the journey of other users as a passenger.
Carpool stops consist of only a few parking spaces, reserved for carpoolers, to facilitate the pick-up or drop off of passengers. They are located on the edge of urban areas, linked to areas of activity, and they are often connected to public transport. These stops are limited to 15 or 30 minutes of parking.
Finally, the practice of carpooling is possible on the car parks-relays or on some mixed car parks of the Métropole on parking pockets dedicated to carpoolers.
