INSPIRE Protected Sites - National Landscapes
Description
This data is standardized for the provincial delivery INSPIRE. The central government has designated 20 National Landscapes in the Spatial Planning Memorandum. Two of them are located in Fryslân: Southwest Friesland and Northern Forests. National Landscapes are areas with internationally rare or unique and nationally characteristic landscape qualities and in connection with this special natural and recreational qualities.
The aim is to preserve, sustainably manage and, where possible, strengthen the landscape, cultural-historical and natural qualities of the Landscapes. In connection with this, the touristic significance must also increase.
