Description
For the topic of mineral resources (Annex III) of the INSPIRE Directive, the “Map of near-surface raw materials of Saxony-Anhalt” (KOR50) and data of mining authorisations have been transformed into the INSPIRE data model.
The KOR50 documents in a clear form the current knowledge of the country’s probably worth building raw material deposits. It shows the potential of near-surface mineral raw materials with the exploration status “geological interpretation” in the evaluation of existing geological maps and reports and is based on knowledge of the nature of the soil treasure, its training and dissemination.
From the data of the mining authorisations, information on the authorisation area as well as factual information on the type of mining authorisation, field name, runtime and land treasury were transferred.
The geodata of the mining authorisations do not have a legally binding character in the sense of information from the Berechtsamswesen issued by the mountain authorities.
The INSPIRE-compliant geodata includes information on the mapping frame, geologic history, occurrence type, commodity, deposit group, deposit type, commodity importance, and exploration activity type. The transformed data does not contain any information on the spatial distribution of the soil resources as well as on quantities of raw materials and explorations beyond geological interpretation. No data are available for the missing data.
Comments:
The assignment of the identifiers for the mineral resources (surface raw materials, land treasury numbers of mining authorisations) to the CommodityCode codelist has been carried out with some considerable limitations in the understanding of mineral resources. In particular, the group of hard rocks for the production of gravel and chips as well as factory and decorative stones was not transformable together with the petrographic classification.
