Swallow

Description

natural expansion of land adjacent to the sea or stream, where there is little or no vegetation, caused by sand or clay particles settling there as a result of the reduction in the flow velocity. Then a 'swallow' is formed (the next stage, when as a result of swallowing only rarely a flood occurs, there is a salt marsh).
