Description
UNESCO Global Geoparks are unique and unified geographical areas where sites and landscapes of international geological importance are managed according to a holistic concept of protection, education and sustainable development. Their bottom-up approach, which combines conservation and sustainable development while involving local communities, is becoming increasingly popular.
