GIS data from Routiers counts on the departmental roads of the P.O in 2022
Description
This dataset presents road counts carried out on the departmental roadways of the Pyrenees Orientales using permanent electromagnetic loops installed in the roadway or road meters using pneumatic tubes installed temporarily on the network.
Good knowledge of road traffic throughout the department is necessary to:
Assist in decision-making for long-term general study projects,
Dimensioning roads, both in their geometrical characteristics and in their structure,
Design the development projects,
Estimate traffic trends in the Eastern Pyrenees in the short and medium term that will be taken into account in the modernisation of the road network,
Putting in place a good operation of the construction sites,
Streamline the programming of maintenance operations,
Develop traffic management plans and response plans to be implemented in the event of major climate events
