Luberon Park — Short Circuits
Description
Location of the sales of agricultural products in the territory of the Luberon Park. The short circuits are close to one farmer out of 3 in Luberon Park. The 2010 agricultural census (RGA) counts 558 farms out of 1991 in the Park (28 % in PACA and 21 % in France) with 184 short-circuit sales places, 15 types of non-farm sales: markets, baskets, producer shops... There are twice as many outlets per population in Luberon as in the SUD region. Consumption in short circuits accounts for 2 % of food consumption (excluding sale through an intermediary and sale on the farm). Elsewhere, this figure is between 1 and 3 %. The turnover in short circuits on the Parc du Luberon is between 11.7 and 14.5 million euros (excluding sale through an intermediary and sale on the farm). Fruits and vegetables are present in 70 to 80 % of the points of sale, then come cheeses, dairy and wines, Eggs, meat, bread and cereals. Olive oil, honey and fruit juices are poorly represented. In collective outlets, AMAPs and farm sales, 63 % of farms are organic.
