By their permanent presence in the landscape, the remarkable trees constitute a precious but fragile heritage.These silhouettes are part of the daily look that the inhabitants take on their surroundings of proximity. The tree occupies a special place that often attracts attention but which must sometimes be shown so that it is respected, as its familiar presence can also be trivialised. The Luberon PNR was the first regional natural park in France to initiate an in-depth inventory of its remarkable tree heritage between 2003 and 2005; This study conducted by the PPE included the adret of the mountain of Lure. The purpose of the inventory is to establish a balance sheet, as complete as possible, of the outstanding trees existing on the territory of the Luberon — Lure Biosphere Reserve. The Park of Camargue has also carried out the inventory on its territory. The extent of the territory and the different biotopes offer diverse species and landscapes where you can encounter very many trees, especially isolated individuals, but also groupings or alignments. **half of this inventory concerns trees located on the private domain which makes it impossible to put this inventory into open data**
