Camargue Park — Digue by the sea
Description
The sea dike built in 1856 between the Petit Rhône and the Grand Rhône is the oldest development on the camargue coast. Its function then consisted of preventing marine intrusions, in particular with the aim of enabling the development of agriculture.According to the sectors, it may be frontal, or at a greater or lesser distance from the shoreline. The frontal dam located west of the Petit Rhône, was erected a century later on a total linear of 5 540 m
