Verdon Park — Landscape Entities
Description
Delimitation of the emblematic landscapes of the Verdon Regional Natural Park. The territory of the Park is characterised by a great diversity of landscapes federated around this dorsal spine that is the Verdon. From the plain of the Durance to the highest peaks of the Préalpes, the plateaus of the Haut Var or Valensole through the hills of the Artuby or the gorges and lakes of restraint, the atmospheres change constantly and with an unusual speed. This diversity is one of the great riches of the territory. However, it entails equally varied constraints and therefore management guidelines adapted to each particular sector. It is to respond to this necessary adaptation to local specificities that the territory of the Park is divided into 7 territorial units that correspond to so many known and recognised landscape entities.
