Regional Natural Parks – The Mares Network
Description
State of knowledge on the network of ponds in the Calavon Valley and south-west of Mont Ventoux, in particular those with high heritage stakes, particularly with regard to the presence of Pelobate cultripède (Knife Toad). For the Calavon ponds, the data are derived from various study work carried out between 2001 and 2023 by the PNRL and/or CEN PACA: * Diagnosis of amphibians in the Calavon Valley; 2001 by Olivier PEYRE; * Inventory of wetlands in the Calavon watershed; 2005 by Florence NIEL-PNRL; * Various reports and balance sheets 2004-2010 “Mares et amphibians du Luberon”; * Diagnosis of amphibians in Natura 20000 site “Calavon-Encrème”; 2010 by David TATIN – CEEP; * Luberon ponds and amphibians; Sic Ocres and Calavon – Leader Report 7 2007 by David TATIN; * Additional wetland inventory of the Calavon watershed; 2012 by Gregorie LANDRU – CEN; * State of knowledge about Pelobates cutripes in Vaucluse; 2015 by Eric DURAND – CEN; * Discovery of four new breeding stations of Pélobate cultripède in the Vaucluse; 2015 by Eric DURAND – CEN; * Diagnosis of the pools of the Calavon Valley; 2018 by Manon JULIEN – PNRL; * Study in favour of the preservation and restoration of ponds and pool networks of the turquoise weft of the Calavon-Coulon watershed; 2022 PNRL & CEN PACA.
