Luberon Park — Levels of low and flow levels of the rivers of Calavon, Largue and Aiguebrun

Description

The monitoring of the lowlands concerns the Calavon watershed, the Aiguebrun watershed and the Largue watershed since 2004 The periodicity of the surveys is bimonthly during the period of low (May to October) and monthly for the rest of the year if the situation justifies it (winter low). This monitoring shall be carried out as follows: * A visual observation on each station codified to three levels: **Level 1** Acceptable visible ecosystem (blue color code) corresponds to a situation where the flow into the river is sufficient to ensure the proper biological functioning of the watercourse. **Level 2** Low visible ecosystem (yellow color code) corresponds to a situation where the flow into the river does not guarantee the proper biological functioning of the watercourse — **Level 2** Equivalently not visible (orange color code) corresponds to a situation where the water is visible in the river but without flow (water presence on all or part of the station but without current). **Level 3** Assec (red color code) corresponds to a situation where there is no water in the river at all. * A flow measurement, on certain stations, which was carried out manually until 2010 (according to the so-called “stopper” method), then instrumented since 2011 using an electromagnetic currentometer. In the Largue watershed, flow measurements are carried out in coordination with the Departmental Directorate of the Territories of the Alps of Haute Provence (DDT 04). 5 stations are gauged by the Luberon Park and 5 stations by the DDT. On the Calavon watershed, there are two general hydrometry stations managed by the Grand Delta Crus Prevention Service whose data are integrated into the monitoring of PNRL lows. This is the station of “Coste Raste” (C10) in St Martin de Castillon and the station of “La Garrigue” (C18) in Oppède.
