Traffic volumes

Description

For the purposes of traffic calculation, the road network is divided into traffic-homogeneous road sections, each of which is assumed to have approximately the same traffic volume. Consistent indicators are produced for each homogeneous interval, representing as accurately as possible the average traffic volume values for that interval. The target category consists of KVL (average daily traffic) data, peak hour traffic and variation categories. The data is produced annually through Fintraffic's traffic accounting system. The data describes the traffic of a cross-section of a road at a section where the traffic volume and traffic composition are constant. Peak hourly traffic is calculated only for roads with 1-carriageway tracks with KVL>1000. The information is updated to Tievelho once a year in December-January. Data may be missing for the year in which the project is handed over to public transport. The target category is not versionable. The information covers roads, rafts and ramps.
