The map shows a selective distribution of the organic basal sequence (qhOB, STREIF (1998)) in the area of the Lower Saxony coast. It is a small sequence of peatlands and mudden or Ah-horizons of a fossil soil, which occur in this area at the base of a powerful sequence of clastic Holocene sediments (STREIF (1998)).
