Description
The designations were given according to Meynen & Schmithüsen (1962), whereby the boundaries of the rooms are based on biotope mapping. Compared to the other natural spatial divisions used in the LLUR, this natural spatial structure has been reproduced in a scale of 1:25.000. The geometries of the North Sea islands are not included, so for representations the topography must be deposited in any case! Coastal strips have also been taken into account in digitisation, but these are not separately attributed as such, since this further breakdown according to Meynen & Schmithüsen does not exist.
