Families by number of children under 25 — Sailly-Lez-Lannoy
Description
This is the number of families with 2 children under the age of 25. According to INSEE, “households” and “families” do not have the same definition. It is therefore necessary to distinguish those two concepts.
A household, in the statistical sense of the term, refers to all the occupants of the same dwelling without necessarily being united by kinship ties (in the case of cohabitation, for example). A household can be made up of one person. A household can also include zero, one or more families.
A family is the part of a household consisting of at least two persons and constituted: a couple living in the household, with their child(s) belonging to the same household, if applicable; or or an adult with his or her child(s) belonging to the same household (one parent family). For a person to be a child of a family, they must be single and not have a spouse or child in the same household.
