Trafikolyckor i Helsingfors
Description
Sites, severity levels and types of traffic accidents in Helsinki since 2000.
The Helsinki Urban Environment Division / Traffic and Street Planning maintains a traffic accident register primarily for traffic planning purposes. The accident register is based on information received from the police. Data are only complete for fatalities. There are shortcomings in the data, for example, in accidents, minor personal injuries and especially in pedestrian, bicycle and moped accidents.

- vakav_a = severity, (1 = property damage, 2 = injuring, 3 = fatal)
- POHJ_ETRS = Northern coordinate in ETRS-GK25
- ITA_ETRS = Eastern coordinate in ETRS-GK25
- vv = year
- type = type of accident according to the weakest party, (jk = pedestrian accident, pp = bicycle accident, mp = moped/motorcycle accident, ma = motor vehicle accident)
The coordinate system of the data is ETRS-GK25 (EPSG 3879).
