In 2019, the annual flow of acquisitions of French nationality, with 109,821 new French, fell slightly (- 0.2 %), as a result of a decrease in acquisitions of nationality by decree (- 11.0 %) and an increase in acquisitions of nationality per declaration (+ 11.4 %).
