Departmental Fire and Relief Service of the Gard
Description
The Departmental Fire and Relief Service brings together all the firefighters of the department and the Fire and Relief Centres, within the same public institution.
Together with the other relevant services and professionals, it shall contribute to the protection and fight against other accidents, disasters and disasters, to the assessment and prevention of technological or natural risks and to emergency relief.
Within the scope of its powers, it shall carry out the following tasks:
—the prevention and assessment of civil security risks,
—the preparation of safeguard measures and the organisation of the means of relief,
—the protection of persons, property and the environment,
—emergency relief for victims of accidents, disasters or disasters and their evacuation.
