Hospital admissions and patients; Diagnosis classification ICD-10 (3-character level)
Description
This table contains figures on the number of hospital admissions, the number of persons with one or more hospital admissions, the number of nursing days and the average nursing duration of persons who were registered in the Personal Records Database (BRP) at any time in the calendar year.
The figures are broken down by gender, age, type of admission and diagnosis according to the ICD-10 three-character categories (International Statistical Classification of Diseases and Related Health Problems, 10th revision, World Health Organization).

Status of figures:
Figures for the last year are provisional, the other figures are final.
Changes as of 14 May 2024:
Provisional figures for 2021 have been finalised and provisional figures for 2022 have been added.
When will there be new figures?
Preliminary figures for 2023 are expected to be added in the second quarter of 2025.
