Intensive livestock farming (Environmental Vision 2016-2020)
Description
This stock contains the area map of intensive livestock farming as established in the Environment Vision province of Groningen 2016-2020.
We define intensive livestock farming as an agricultural operation, independently or as a secondary branch, aimed at keeping pigs, poultry, calves and fur animals in buildings entirely or almost entirely, with the exception of the organic keeping of animals in accordance with the Agricultural Quality Act.
In the elaboration of our policy, we distinguish three areas: areas where extension of barn floor area is not allowed; areas where up to 5 000 m² of stable floor space can be extended under conditions; areas where extension of up to 7 500 m² of stable floor space can be done under conditions.
