Central Population Register
Description
The description of the CRP database is the central database:
— citizens who have permanent or temporary residence in the Republic of Slovenia and foreigners holding a permanent or temporary residence permit in the Republic of Slovenia,
— citizens who are permanently or temporarily absent from the Republic of Slovenia for more than three months,
— foreigners who do not have a permanent or temporary residence permit in the Republic of Slovenia, but who have certain rights or obligations in the field of pension and disability insurance, taxes, for humanitarian reasons or in another area, if so provided by law.
The data in the CRP are: EMŠO, place of birth, first name and surname, nationality, residence and type of residence, marital status, school education, voting rights, mother’s EMŠO, father’s EMŠO, spouse’s EMŠO, child EMŠO, identifiers for linking with administrative databases in public sector management and dates and data on events, changes or corrections.
In the CRP, population data are centrally collected, processed, stored and used for the purpose of monitoring the state and evolution of the population.
The collection is determined by the Central Population Register Act.
