Legislative elections 2022(first round): vote of French established outside France

Description

These final results were proclaimed by the Election Census Commission on Monday, June 6, 2022. 708 polling stations were open at 435 sites. The overall participation rate for this first round is 22.51 % distributed as follows: — Ballot box: 5.10 % — Internet voting: 17.32 % — Vote by mail: 0.09 % The 11 deputies are elected, elected in the same manner as their counterparts elected on French territory, by one-time ballot in two rounds. As a reminder, the French community residing abroad votes one week in advance for the first round in order to facilitate the delivery of electoral materials to electors for the second round, and to ensure that elected candidates and candidates elected for the second round have a period of two weeks to be able to campaign. In order for a candidate to be elected, elected in the first round, she or he must obtain an absolute majority, i.e. more than half of the votes cast, and a number of votes at least equal to a quarter of the registered voters.The election of Members of Parliament may include a second round if no candidate or no candidate has that number of votes. Only some candidates can run for the 2nd round: — The 2 candidates who came in the lead — The following candidates, provided that they have obtained a number of votes at least equal to 12.5 % of the number of registered voters. On the 2nd round, the relative majority is sufficient: the candidate with the highest number of votes is elected. In case of equality, the oldest of the candidates is elected.
