Recovery and conservation plan for necrophagous birds in Andalusia. Follow-up sheets
Description
Annual public factsheets by species summarising the results of the annual monitoring of the Andalusian necrophagous bird populations included in the recovery and conservation plan for necrophagous birds in Andalusia approved in 2011 by the Governing Council. It lays down protection measures for three endangered species: ‘Gypaetus barbatus’, ‘Milvus milvus’, ‘Alimoche’ and ‘Neophron percnopterus’, and another vulnerable species, the black vulture ‘Aegypius monachus’, according to the Andalusian Catalogue of Threatened Species (Law 8/2003 of 28 October 2003).
An annual token per species and year is included (for milano reales two are included per year: wintering report and breeding report). The period covered is 2012-2022 (sheets corresponding to previous annuities have been drawn up outside the scope of the Plan).
The data sheets collected include data related, among others, to distribution, description, biology, habitat, threat category, phenology, population indicators, demographic parameters and population trends, conservation measures applied.
